BeaveRun Results

PakExp emerged from this weekend’s BeaveRun event with wins both days in the PTE races and TTE time trial competition and with new track records in each class.

Here we are fighting with the PTD dudes…aren’t they supposed to be faster?

First Race For 2010: Mid-Ohio

Our first race of 2010 is upon us and we’re ready for some action at Mid-Ohio this weekend for the first race in the NASA Great Lakes calendar. Schedules are permitting us to race one car, so we’re pulling out trusty ol’ 787, who last saw duty at Road Atlanta in December.

Everyone is welcome to drop by, just listen for the ear-piercingly loud Honda Civic or look for our traditional white, green and silver colour scheme.

This photo is the last time I saw these two fine machines, quietly waiting in the paddock at Road Atlanta.

PakExp Welcomes Brian Flint For Road Atlanta

PakExp welcomes back Brian Flint.  Brian will be racing in the Saturday, December 5 sprint race at Road Atlanta and will be driving the multiple race-winning and lap record-holding # 787.

This is Brian driving 787 at Putnam Park this October.

Road Atlanta Enduro Driver Lineup

Preparation for the upcoming Road Atlanta enduro is under way and we expect to have a winning car roll off the trailer in Braselton, Georgia for December 4th’s nine hour endurance race.

The team’s newest car, 786, was built specifically for endurance races and will be fulfilling its destiny (cue The Imperial March), racing for the E2 class win.

PakExp welcomes two new drivers to the team for this race.  We are pleased to have Karl Thomson of Toronto, Ontario, Canada with us.  Karl has earned great success in Grand Am KONI Challenge, as both a driver and team owner of C360R.  C360R won both team and driver’s championships in this year’s KONI Challenge series.  The youngster on the team, Angelo Dinkov, hails from Greenville, South Carolina and is our kind of driver.  He’s already posted a number of wins, some fast laps and track records.

Returning to PakExp for this race is Internet-famous Jack Baruth, fresh from his first KONI Challenge race at VIR in October, followed by the Cadillac CTS-V Challenge at Monticello and the inaugural Skip Barber Mazdaspeed Media Challenge.  Our fourth driver is PakExp team driver, Brian Makse, and he is, well, special, and doesn’t concern himself with such silly things like results.

This enduro effort is being supported by our fantastic crew: Sam Myers, Rob Demorest and Matt Johnston.

NASA Story About PakExp

At last weekend’s NASA Great Lakes finale, NASA put together some video clips about some of their members. PakExp became the subject of one of those videos and here it is for your enjoyment.

PakExp Wins 2009 Championship

It’s official!

Pakistan Express Racing Team has won the 2009 NASA Great Lakes Performance Touring E Championship. At Putnam Park this past weekend, we ended the racing season in style–we set fastest lap in qualifying, won both races and set fast lap in both races.

In our first full season, we chalked up:

- 10 wins
- 5 poles
- 4 track records

The team won races and holds track records at every track on the schedule.  In fact, as we developed both PakExp Honda Civics throughout the season, both cars, 786 and 787, have won races and earned track records.

Matt Johnston added another two Time Trial wins to his growing list of victories, finished second in the Time Trial E Championship and also earned Rookie of the Year honours at the NASA awards event this past Saturday evening.
